What is Ducksmith?
Ducksmith is a NYC food establishment that specializes in creating refined duck sandwiches and other cuisine made with duck.
Our duck is slow-cooked for four hours, then pan-seared to perfection in view of our guests. It is topped with French brie and fresh watercress, all gently melted within a warm Pain D’Avignon baguette to create a distinctive and refined sandwich experience.
Slow-cooked duck sandwiches (aka duck confit sandwiches) have had success in Copenhagen, Denmark for over a decade, and our goal is to bring variations of that sandwich to America.
Ducksmith will be a contemporary establishment, separating itself from the expensive old-world stuffy restaurants that traditionally serve duck confit. Plus, our three sandwich sizes will allow affordable options for people new to duck to experience this underappreciated protein in a new way…without breaking the bank.
